Shipping & Returns

Returns Policy


Contemporary Controls (CC) is under no obligation to accept return of goods that have been ordered in error or are surplus to the customer’s requirements.  Any return of goods must first be authorised by CC, who will issue a Returns Authorisation Number (RMA).  Any goods returned without this number will not be accepted.

When product is returned in salable condition, we will accept the product for credit up to 30 days from the date of invoice without a charge. If the product is not returned in salable condition, a flat 25% of the invoice amount will be assessed in addition to the restocking fees listed below:


After 30 days, and up to 45 days, there will be a restocking fee of 25% of the invoice amount for each item.


After 45 days, product will not be accepted for return.


This credit policy applies only to the original purchaser of the product. To return a product, follow the RMA Procedure below:


You must have an RMA number to return a product. To request an RMA number please Contact Us with your order number and details about the product you would like to return. We will respond quickly with instructions for how to return items from your order.

Once you have an RMA number, return the product to CC with freight prepaid and the RMA number clearly marked on the exterior of the package. If possible, reuse the original shipping container and packaging. Handle the product carefully (avoiding static) and use anti-static bags and packing materials with adequate padding and shock-absorbing properties. CC is not responsible for damage incurred from improper packaging. Your shipment should be insured for your protection.




Products under warranty that were not subjected to misuse or abuse will be repaired at no charge to you. You pay to ship the product back to CC, but CC pays for the return shipping (normally by ground). International shipments usually take longer. If it is determined that the product has been misused or abused, CC will provide you with a quotation for repair. No work will be done without your approval. For warranty repairs, follow the RMA Procedure above.

Non-warranty repair - CC provides a repair service for all its products with fixed-fee charges that depend on the complexity of the product. You can request a repair cost estimate. You pay to ship the product to CC and will be invoiced for the return shipping. No repair will be performed without your approval. If a product is deemed unrepairable, we will offer to replace it with a refurbished product (assuming one is available). Under no circumstances will CC replace a defective product without your approval. For non-warranty repairs, follow the RMA Procedure above.




We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full kilogram.
